Pedicle Screw Placement Course

A course dedicated to residents in orthopaedic surgery or neurosurgery

A 6 session-based course to complete the learning curve of posterior pedicle screw placement.

1st session includes lectures on:

• main steps of the posterior approach for spinal instrumentation techniques
• surgical risk associated with the whole procedure
• surgical tools
• criterion for planning the intervention based on preoperative images.
• Gertzbein and Robbins classification

2nd to 6th session are Phantom Lab sessions:

• surgical case discussion
• hands on patient-specific phantoms designed at EndoCAS with increasing complexity
